TIGER Banner

The picturesque TIGER Story Map is now live! The map takes a deep dive into the nationwide competitive Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) grant awarded to the Broward MPO. The MPO, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Transportation, the cities of Fort Lauderdale, Lauderdale Lakes, Oakland Park, and Pompano Beach, as well as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 4, are using the $11 million grant and $7 million local matches to fund and design five Complete Streets Projects. The five mobility projects fill in critical gaps and extend the reach of the existing Broward Regional Complete Streets network to restore safe, multimodal access to community resources for vulnerable populations.

The TIGER Story Map highlights each phase of the mobility project, its overall goal, & how it benefits the community. It leaves no stone unturned. After viewing the map, those who live, work, and play in Broward will better understand the TIGER mobility project and hopefully increased excitement for its completion.
