The Florida Department of Transpiration (FDOT) has begun a series of improvements along Hollywood Boulevard from east of City Hall to Dixie Highway. The project is part of a larger $160 Million investment from the Broward MPO. Project improvements include: resurfacing the roadway, decorative lighting, widening sidewalks, upgrading existing pedestrian signals, construction of a new median with parallel parking, upgrading of signs and pavement markings and replacement of existing water main and connections at various street crossings.
The new roadway configuration will feature two lanes in each direction throughout the entire corridor as well as a four-foot bike lane in each direction.

Construction will be completed in Summer 2019.
