Core Products

The Broward MPO’s six core products are the backbone of what we do as an agency, and are vital to the success of our Organization. The Federal government requires all MPOs in the country to produce a Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP), Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP)/budget, and Public Participation Plan (PPP). These products govern our short (UPWP), mid (TIP), and long-term (MTP) planning efforts, and guide our public outreach and education (PPP). In addition to the required products, the Broward MPO also produces two additional core products: the List of Priority Projects (LOPP) and Strategic Business Plan (SBP). The LOPP prioritizes projects identified in the MTP for programming in the TIP, and the SBP aligns the Board and staff around a set of strategic focus areas and goals.
