The Broward MPO will host All-Hazards Recovery Training, an FTA-sponsored program, on March 5-6, 2018. The purpose of this training is to equip the region to develop a comprehensive emergency recovery plan that maximizes the use of transit, social media, TDM strategies, and ITS technologies.

Attendees can include: Transit and transportation planners from MPOs and institutions that have responsibility to create, review, fund, implement, and/or execute emergency operations and transportation recovery plans. This includes personnel with the direct responsibility for emergency management as well as other representatives from transit agencies, city and state departments of transportation, major employers, paratransit providers, developers and existing TDM entities. Topics covered in the training include: Lessons learned from past events, an overview of Regional Emergency Plans and Transportation Systems, Roles and Responsibilities in recovery planning and implementation, risk assessment, and more.
