Meet the Panelists

William L. Cross, P.E., Director of Planning and Capital Development South Florida Regional Transportation Authority

Mr. Cross is the Director of Planning and Capital Development for the South Florida RegionalTransportation Authority, operator of a 76 mile commuter rail system that connects Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade Counties. In this role he is responsible for coordination with partner agencies,capital budgeting and project development; is project manager for SFRTA’s effort to expand Tri-Rail Commuter Service to the FEC rail corridor; and has led agency efforts planning and financing the WaveModern Streetcar in downtown Fort Lauderdale. He is a professional engineer registered in the State ofFlorida and holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Business Administration. Mr. Cross has over 25 years of varied professional experience in transportation planning, engineering,finance, and program management.

Mason C. Jackson, President/CEO Career Source Broward

Mason Jackson has been the President/CEO of CareerSource Broward formerly known as WorkForce One Employment Solutions for the past 28 years. Overall, he has been involved in Workforce Development programs for over 38 years. Recent professional and community involvements include Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance Governor’s Council annual award for 2012, Florida Economic Development Council, Toni Jennings Workforce Development Professional of the Year Award for 2012, and Past Chair of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance Governor’s Council.

Dave Wallace, Director Public Policy Advocacy, United Way of Broward County

As United Way of Broward County’s Director of Public Policy Advocacy, Dave works with our State legislators and US Congressional delegation on legislative issues that impact access to affordable healthcare, quality education and financial stability for working families.

 

 

Gregory Stuart, Executive Director, Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization

Gregory Stuart is the Chief Executive Officer of the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization and is responsible for all the functions under the direction of the MPO Board of Directors. Greg leads the executive management team while representing the Organization nationally, at the state level and within the region. He focuses on creating new partnerships while expanding existing partnerships.
